Pre-MBA English Program Pre-Arrival Information
ARRIVAL DATE:
Students should plan to arrive at least 2 weeks before the Pre-MBA English course begins to arrange for housing and attend to other settling-in issues. Once the course begins, there will be no time to do this. Pre-MBA English students will receive an I-20 to allow entry to the U.S. 30 days before the start of the course.
MEDICAL INSURANCE:
Pre-MBA English students will be automatically enrolled in the Georgetown University Summer medical insurance program. If participants prefer to use their own medical insurance, they will be allowed to waive (decline) the Georgetown University Summer insurance upon arrival at Georgetown.
If participants prefer to use their own medical insurance, they will be allowed to waive (decline) the Georgetown University Summer insurance only if the insurance covers AT LEAST US$50,000 for injury and US$50,000 for illness. If the policy details are not in English, an official English translation will be required. Waivers will be done when the participant arrives at Georgetown. If you have questions, please contact Van Kennedy of Student Insurance.
Note that the Fall medical insurance and the Summer medical insurance are treated separately and must be accepted or waived separately. Life insurance cannot be accepted as an alternative to medical insurance.
* The Fall 2008 MBA medical insurance does not begin till August 15, 2008. Pre-MBA English students will be automatically enrolled in the Georgetown University Summer insurance program. For details on coverage, click here.
